A new film on Mahboba's Promise, 'The Garden at the End of the World' is currently being released. It is a beautiful and confronting documentary on the lives of the women and children of Afghanistan. The film is proving a wonderful tool to help raise awareness of the plight of the women and children in Afghanistan and also of the work of Mahboba's Promise.
The film is very powerful and empowering. The filmmaker, Gary Caganoff suggests a number of things that we can all do to help. One of them is to start up a Friends of Mahboba's Promise group in your community. The aim is to initiate fundraising events and promote awareness in the wider community.
One group has already started in the Blue Mountains which has a hundred people on the books after they attended the world premier screening recently held in Katoomba.
Mahboba's Promise would like to encourage everyone to see the film, either at one of the up and coming screenings, or by purchasing the DVD from Gary.
20% of profit from sales of the DVD goes to Mahboba's Promise + 100% of all money raised from the Friends of MP groups will go to Mahboba's Promise.
